There's a trend floating around for those who lack integrity and honesty! It's super easy and you'll be racking in thousands of dollars on Patreon in no time flat! All you have to do is learn the Dave Rubin Effect. Jump on the conservative bandwagon and gather up the coins! While Dave may not have invented this strategy, he has definitely utilized it to his benefit.
First, get into politics. By that, I mean claim to be left-leaning but spend all of your energy criticizing college kids who dye their hair blue or purple. Why? Because there are hundreds of people who hate them, that's why! They hate societal progress, self-improvement, voluntary education and change. So attack the messenger to discard the message! Defend the status quo as a warrior at all costs. Facts, logic, empathy, and reality be damned.
Second, fight under the guise of 'freedom of speech' or culture wars. Conveniently, ignore that the first amendment is to protect your speech from government retaliation. Pretend as if Hilary Clinton did win that election! Plug your ears and close your eyes to the Trump administration and think about those smug liberals attacking good ole conservative culture. Strawman identity politics as personal attacks on straight, white men. Insist that it's really you that faces persecution and every other demographic should be grateful to live here.
Third, change your beliefs to align with your fan base. The more you agree with them, the more money they will give you. You can even change your religion as many times as you want, as long as it's approved by your paycheck, I mean fans. Whenever you support politicians who enact policies harmful to your demographic, just think of your net worth as a security blanket. Your tokenism will save you personally since you're on the side of tyranny. Attack anyone who points this out by claiming the intellectual bigotry comes from the other side of the political aisle.
Repeat steps 2-3. Watch your internet fame and monetary value flourish. Many Youtube and Twitter personalities have ridden the wave to mainstream media heights and you can too! This is a method with proven success and an easy consistent target that requires very little effort.
